Tokyo\/Kyoto, Japan \u2013 April 14, 2016 \u2013 Komori Corporation and SCREEN Holdings Co., Ltd. announce that Komori International Europe B.V. (Komori Europe) and SCREEN GP Europe B.V. (SCREEN GP Europe), a division of SCREEN Graphic and Precision Solutions (SCREEN GP) Group, have entered into a strategic business agreement.<\/p>\n
This agreement will establish a collaborative structure between Komori Corporation and SCREEN GP, SCREEN Holding\u2019s business operating company responsible for graphic arts business. Komori and SCREEN anticipate the agreement will provide a solid base for continuing development of the European printing industry, in a similar way to the cooperative relationship introduced by the companies for the North American market in September 2015.<\/p>\n
Komori Europe and SCREEN GP Europe, Komori and SCREEN\u2019s respective regional subsidiaries, have recently concluded a distribution agreement for the Belgian, French, German, Italian, Dutch and British markets. Komori Europe will become the sole distributor of SCREEN GP\u2019s Truepress Jet520HD high-speed, roll type inkjet press in each of these areas.\u00a0 Concurrently, SCREEN GP Europe will use its extensive expertise in digital printing to provide comprehensive support for Komori Europe.<\/p>\n
The Truepress Jet520HD enables superior quality that goes beyond the traditional boundaries of inkjet printing, opening additional markets and applications to on-demand printing at speeds and economies unmatched in cut sheet digital and, for many run lengths, rivaling that of offset. Building on SCREEN GP\u2019s 10 years of experience and knowhow in the continuous high-speed inkjet market, the Truepress Jet520HD brings together leading technologies in paper transport, drying techniques, printheads and wide-gamut inks. The system will complement Komori\u2019s line up of high-performance offset presses and provide a flexible response to customer requests for presses with small run printing capabilities.<\/p>\n
Both companies agree that by combining the expertise of Komori Europe and SCREEN GP Europe, they will not only help printers achieve their business goals, but grow market share for the two companies through increased digital and offset press sales. Further development of this arrangement is expected to contribute to continuing growth of the regional printing industry and enable the creation of a win-win relationship with customers.<\/p>\n
