Screen Europe<\/a>\u00a0is pleased to announce that two European graphic arts colleges have adopted the Screen\u00a0EQUIOS<\/a>\u00a0workflow system to streamline teaching processes.\u00a0\u00c9cole Estienne<\/a>\u00a0in France and\u00a0SSPTP Middle School Polygraphy and Printing\u00a0in the Czech Republic have both implemented EQUIOS to support the learning experience of students partaking in graphic arts courses, with a focus on printing technology.<\/p>\n

\u00c9cole Estienne is a college that instructs on the book-making profession, teaching students post-A-level degrees all the essential skills required to produce books. The college has chosen to adopt Version 5 of Screen EQUIOS. Jean-Baptiste Raveleau, a teacher at \u00c9cole Estienne, states, \u201cThe school was already equipped with an older version of EQUIOS. We have also been using Screen CTP technology for over a decade, with barely any maintenance or issues during that time. The level of automation, as well as the simplified interface of the workflow system, really enables the students to maximise their time and productivity in a learning environment.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe college must adapt to the increasing presence of digital presses on the market and Screen is a major player in digital. EQUIOS continues to evolve, providing our students with an excellent grounding for facing real business practices when they finish their courses,\u201d Raveleau continues.<\/p>\n

SSPTP Middle School cited similar reasons for integrating EQUIOS into the school\u2019s learning facilities. The middle school, of around 280 students, specialises in teaching graphic design as well as printing technology. Mr. Petr \u0160anc SSPTP Deputy Director says, \u201cWe collaborate with a wide-range of Czech print houses to offer our students the best possible chance to interact first-hand with the technology. This new workflow system gives students the possibility to see a wide range of tools, the benefits and drawbacks of each in the market \u2013 key for their future in the industry once they graduate. Screen\u2019s EQUIOS workflow is the best out of all the systems we tested as the interface is congenial to our teaching formats.\u201d<\/p>\n

EQUIOS is a versatile, scalable workflow management system that provides total support for digital print-on-demand (POD) and computer-to-plate (CTP) production. It automates job management, including accurate imposition and consistent colour management, across different output devices from the same user interface. It also provides a scalable load-balancing RIP solution that supports high-speed variable data printing on connected print engines.<\/p>\n
